A well-maintained Alfa 2.0 DOHC engine is pretty bulletproof. Starting in 1982, Bosch fuel injection made the engine more reliable and easy to keep in tune. The engine on this 1987 Graduate is totally stock and original.

Passenger side. The discoloration that you see on the rear rocker panel under the door is not rust; it's wax residue. There was a very tiny (less than an inch) rust spot on the seam below the door, which has been patched and painted.
