Valentino, a 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider, was Sherry Thackeray's Valentine's Day present in 2007. This delightful modern Spider with aftermarket wheels has carried us more than 10,000 miles, including trips to Florida on the Amtrak Auto Train.

I bought this 1962 Giulia Spider locally in late 2008. It has been off the road at least 20 years. I aim to change that. Doug Mitchell at Crown Auto is preparing the engine and tranny for reinstallation.

This is my favorite non-Alfa in the fleet, my 1979 Volkswagen Westfalia camper bus; two decades of lust met their fulfillment when I purchased Playa Beltane in February 2008. We decided to succumb to the economy, our desire to be green, our frustration at not being able to buy a new Alfa in the U.S., and our frustration with how many tiny parking spots we cannot fit into in DC -- so in February 2009 we bought a Smart Car! It's awesome, a little bundle of smiles and practicality. Feels much bigger inside than it looks outside. It's not a typical Alfa Base resident, but it's sort of a H'Alf-a Romeo!
